New Opportunity

It has truly been an amazing Semester.  We have seen the Lord work in the lives of the students at the CLC.  When I tell people about our ministry most people cannot believe that we get to teach the Bible to students during the school day.  I can hardly believe it myself.  Yet it is our privilege 180 days a year.  We have the opportunity to pour the Truth of God’s Word in to their lives.  It changes them.  They experience the love of Christ and hear His Truth and it gives them Hope.  Others begin to question and truly seek God.  We pray that God uses what they have heard to draw them into a relationship with Him.  The CLC is such a special ministry.  We are able to minister to teens that may never attend church by helping them to see who Christ truly is during their most formative years.

For the past 30 years we have served more than 5,000 students in the high school.  In the last 2 years we have been able to offer CLC to 9th graders as well.  Now we are thrilled to announce that we will be offering a 6th grade CLC class. We were given School Board approval in May and are moving forward to make this 6th grade class a reality in the fall.  We will be offering the 6th grade CLC class 1st period when we do not have any high school students in the building.

We know the Lord has provided a way for this class and we trust He will continue to provide for us in every way!  Please be praying that God will provide the extra funds for the new program.  We have such a HUGE opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these 6th grade students during some of their most challenging years.  Sixth grade students are forming ideas about their identity, value, and purpose.  We want to provide an opportunity for these young students to investigate the Bible for the answers to these important questions.

Please consider sharing this great news with your church and friends.  We appreciate your partnership and generosity!  With your help we will continue to take on new opportunities like this one to share the Word of God with Gilmer County students.
