Our sixth grade class!

It has been an exciting month at the CLC! Being the newest member of the CLC team, I am learning how wonderful this ministry truly is and how much the youth in our community benefit from being a part of it. Our inaugural 6th grade class has begun with much excitement! We will have these 15 students for the first 9 weeks of school.  As teacher of this class, I am enjoying getting to know them and help them grow in their walk with Christ. This group is full of sweet kids with fun personalities. I have been incredibly blessed by their enthusiasm to learn about God and His word. So far we have talked about who God is, who Jesus is, what it means to have a relationship with God, how to use your gifts for God, and that God has a plan for your life. These kids are definitely not shy and actively participate in group activities, reading scripture, and answering discussion questions. The rest of the course will cover what is worship, how to have godly friendships, how to handle peer pressure, how to be wise with media, and how to live a life of service. I am excited to watch God at work in the hearts of the students! It is a blessing to be apart of the CLC through teaching this class.

The 6th grade class will be showcased in a video as part of the CLC banquet on September 17th. The banquet begins at 6:00pm at the First Baptist fellowship hall. If you are interested in attending the banquet contact Jennifer to RSVP immediately as it is quickly approaching. Please continue to cover all of our students and staff in your prayers. We are so thankful for those of you who support this ministry and make it possible for us to minister to these youth!
