Gilmer CLC Banquet Student Volunteer Permission & Release Packet

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your student has expressed interest in volunteering for our upcoming banquet, an annual fundraising event that supports the mission and ministry of the Gilmer CLC. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for students to serve and be part of this meaningful evening.

Basic Information:

Event: Gilmer CLC 11^th annual Banquet/Fundraiser.

Date: Thursday, November 6^th, 2025.

Location: First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. (164 N. Dalton St. Ellijay)

Drop-Off: At FBC By 4:00pm (drop off at Welcome Center-glass doors next to sanctuary).

Pick up: 8:30pm at the same location. Students must be signed out by person on release form.

CLC staff will lead and supervise all student volunteers throughout the evening.

Dinner: Student volunteers will be provided with a pizza dinner.

Student Attire: Students should wear blue jeans, tennis shoes, and anyone with long hair, please pull it back or up, since they will be working around food. (If your student doesn’t have blue jeans or sneakers, bring them as they are! We don’t want anything to keep your child from coming.

Each student will receive a Free CLC volunteer t-shirt that they will wear for the evening.

Student Volunteer Roles: Students will serve in several capacities including: Greeting and seating guests, helping during dinner, assisting with setup/cleanup, participating in the evening program, etc.

You’re Invited: We would love to reserve a seat for you Thursday, November 6^th at 6:00pm at the FBC Fellowship Hall. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by emailing jennifer@gilmerclc.org or by calling (706) 635-7100 no later than October 31^st.

Space is limited and seats fill up quickly, so reservations are required to attend. This is a fundraiser so there will be an opportunity to give and partner with our ministry.

CLC is offered at no cost to any student and has been since 1985 and has served more than 11,000 students in Gilmer County in the past 40 years!

Student Pick Up: Middle School Students must be signed out (please bring your license or some form of picture ID) and picked up beginning at 8:30pm in the Welcome Center (the same place they were dropped off). Students will only be released to the person specified on their permission form unless we have been given notice of a substitution. If, at the last minute, your student needs to be picked up by someone other than the person on their form, please call (706) 669.1699.

I grant permission for my student to attend and volunteer at the CLC 11th Annual Banquet on Thursday, November 6th at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Ellijay, GA. I understand my student should arrive at 4:00 PM and be picked up at 8:30 PM at the Welcome Center (glass doors by the sanctuary). I acknowledge that reasonable precautions will be taken for safety. I release the Gilmer Christian Learning Center (CLC), its staff, board, and volunteers from liability for injury, loss, or damages that may occur. In case of emergency, I authorize the staff to obtain medical care if necessary. I understand I will be contacted as soon as possible.
