There are several ways that you can get involved in the ministry of the Christian Learning Center:
- Pray – Colossians 4:3, …”pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the Word, to declare the mystery of Christ.” Pray that God would give us an opportunity to speak truth in the lives of our students, that He would open a door for the gospel to be presented. Pray for wisdom and spiritual growth for our staff. Pray for continued blessing on our supporters and continued giving to our ministry.
- Educate – Tell other people about our ministry. Believe it or not, numerous people still have no idea what the CLC is! Make sure people know that we are not a Christian Private School, but a ministry to hundreds of public school students, many of whom are unchurched, and that our ministry is only possible through the generous support of local churches, businesses and individuals.
- Visit – Give us a call and pick a time to come sit in on a class an meet our students. See what we’re all about, meet the High Schoolers and 6th graders who come through our door each day, listen to what they are being taught. You will gain a new appreciation for the importance of this ministry in Gilmer County.
- Give – It costs nearly $1,000 per semester for one student to attend CLC, yet we refuse to charge tuition. We want CLC to be open to the students who need it most, many of whom can hardly afford daily necessities, much less non-compulsory education. That’s why we are committed to making CLC free for every student, but we can’t do it without your help. Consider giving a one time donation, a monthly gift or possibly sponsoring a student for a semester. Make your check payable to The Gilmer Christian Learning Center and mail them to PO Box 471 Ellijay, GA 30540, or drop it off personally, we’d love to meet you and show you what you’re money is going towards.
