In today’s culture, we often get the question, “How does that even work?” How is it legal? The answer is simple. We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that receives no money from the government. We own our own land and building, we bus students to the building on our own, and students have signed parental permission to take the course. No one forces students to take CLC. They take our classes because they want to be here, and we think that’s remarkable.
Many students who come through our doors have never had the chance to attend church in their lives. Even if they have, they have big questions and they are facing serious, adult issues. We are proud that no student pays to attend the Christian Learning Center. We offer public school students comprehensive Biblical instruction in hopes that they will come to know the Gospel and develop a deeper relationship with Christ.
The CLC is a parachurch ministry. We work alongside local churches and youth ministries–not in place of them. Our board is comprised of active members from several local churches. Our ministry would not be able to continue without the support of our local churches and we are so thankful for each and every one of them.
In addition to the support we receive from churches, businesses & organizations, and individuals, the Christian Learning Center has two yearly fundraisers: the Annual Banquet and the Run for the Son 5k.
