Hello, everyone! If you read the December newsletter, you may already know me. If not, hello! My name is Emilee Gonzales. I am a junior here at Gilmer High School and I am a student intern here at the CLC.
I started taking CLC classes when I was a Freshman. I learned valuable lessons that helped me along my walk with Christ. So, when I had the opportunity, I was able to intern here through the Work Based Learning Program at GHS. I chose CLC because it is a ministry and that is something I would be interested in addition to whatever career I choose.
God works things out to be good for everyone of His children and He knew that being here at this time was what was best for me.
One of the best days I had at CLC was when we were doing signs for the banquet and I got to hear about my peers’ stories about how the Lord is helping them overcome their struggles. I realized that I’m not the only one who struggles and made me see that people are just people not matter who they are or how great they seem. I have learned how to listen to people, encourage people, and how to defend my faith.
Overall, I have enjoyed my time here at CLC and am thankful for the opportunity I have been given. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for me my senior year. I hope to enjoy next year just as much.
